Goreway Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Centre is owned and operated by physiotherapists. The practice was established in 1990 and since then has been successfully serving the Malton community. Our practitioners are experienced and readily available to meet your needs. Our Team

Sridhar Krishnaswami – Registered Physiotherapist

Sridhar is a licensed physiotherapist to practice in the province of Ontario and member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He has completed several post-graduate courses which include the McKenzie Method, Therapeutic Tapping, Acupuncture and Manual Therapy. His achievement in patient care includes teaching self-management techniques and a dedication to helping every patient recover completely. During his practice period he has successfully helped patients recover from a wide variety of injuries including back / neck injuries and sports injuries. He believes in educating his patients as well, so that they can take an active role in their recovery.

Sareeta Choudhry – Registered Physiotherapist

Sareeta Choudhry  is qualified and experienced health care professional in field of physiotherapy.  Her qualification includes Bachelor of physiotherapy and have also pursing certificate program on McKenzie method of diagnosis and therapy to broaden her assessment and treatment skills. She is an efficient physiotherapist who has sheer towards her patient’s treatment and justifies her profession completely. She has experience in managing patients with all age group (pediatric to geriatrics) with orthopedics and neurological condition. She is motivated and ambitious towards enhancing her skills to give the best treatment to patients.

Shalini Gobi Singh Jeevabai – Registered Physiotherapist

Shalini Gobi Singh is a Registered Physiotherapist with the College Of Physiotherapists Of Ontario and member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Shalini has taken various post graduate courses including soft-tissue release, trigger point releases, McKenzie Method of Mechanical diagnosis and Therapy, Mulligan Concepts, Joint mobilizations and taping.

Her special interest towards woman’s health drives her to undergo a broad range of post graduate training in Pelvic Health Physiotherapy. This enables her to assess and treat various conditions like Urinary Incontinence, organ Prolapse in women, Painful bladder syndrome, Nonbacterial chronic Prostatitis, Chronic pelvic pain syndrome, pre-natal and post-partum care.

With the extensive experience gained over the span of her career in many countries. Shalini is proficient in clinical decision making and implementing evidence based practice in rehabilitating various musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, Post-surgical conditions, sports injures and pelvic health conditions. Shalini believes in complete holistic treatment to achieve optimal health and restore function and she strives to empower them with knowledge about their condition which enables them to play a dynamic role in their rehabilitation.

Dr. Richard Kim,DC – Chiropractor          

Dr. Kim is a diversified chiropractor that utilizes a holistic approach to help his clients reach  their optimum function and health. His approach to therapy involves detecting mechanical dysfunction that patients present with and designing a treatment plan that will alleviate pain and restore proper function. His treatments include but are not limited to joint manipulation and mobilizations, medical acupuncture, active soft tissue therapy, electro /ultrasound therapy , kinesiotaping and rehabilitative exercise program.

Paul Uy – Registered Massage Therapist

Paul is  registered with the college of Massage Therapist of Ontario and a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. Paul graduated from the CDI College in 2008.His main emphasis is on the stress reduction as well as Postural dysfunction correction which presents as day to day pains and aches. He is passionate about understanding his client’s needs, makes sure to work on the same  as well as educating the client for self care. Paul uses various techniques such as Swedish, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Acupressure point, Trigger point release.

Vasyl Shafranski – Registered Massage Therapist

Vasyl is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. Vasyl graduated from the Kikkawa College of Massage Therapy in 1998. Since then he has been working closely with other health professionals.

He is trained in providing massages to client utilizing safe and appropriate techniques including deep tissue massage, Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release as well as providing clients with stretching and educating their condition. Vasyl strongly believes in maintaining Proper Posture and incorporating daily exercises into ones daily routine. He believes client education and self care plays a significant role in the recovery process.

Poonam Gokhruwala – Registered Massage Therapist

Poonam Gokhruwala is a Registered Massage Therapist licensed under the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) and an active member of the Registered Massage Therapist Association (RMTAO). She is also an Acupuncture Provider through the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program. Poonam has over 10 years of experience working with patients in Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) and Extended Healthcare. Using a variety of techniques she provides stress and pain reduction, injury prevention, pre and post-natal care, deep tissue and relaxation massage.

She is committed to remaining current in this healthcare profession by continuing education, expanding her knowledge base and adopting new therapeutic practices.
